This Kukkula Winery sits on a sprawling 80 acres of grassy, rolling terrain with a 7,600 sq. ft. The structure supplied by Allied is being used as a Tasting Room.
“The low-profile architecture of the family residence and winery take their cues from regional agricultural structures with the textural palate rooted in indigenous materials. Surfaces, hues and materials blend into the natural site patterns and reflect the seasonal changes. The gabion stone walls of the winery were sourced on site and reflect the dry farming process. The compound architecture of the residence encourages a dialogue with the immediate landscape, incorporating numerous exterior spaces, trellises and walkways between the various pods of the house.”
