Finding Allies in New Places

Allied’s partnerships are more than just a source of pride, they are essential to delivering consistently exceptional service with reliable results, so naturally we prioritize establishing and nurturing strong relationships with our partners. When Allied’s vendor partner referred a client of theirs to us, our relationship came full circle, and with mutual trust we were able to deliver exactly what the client wanted. The client, Eagle Villa Development, had requested a red-iron building for their warehouse, however this material was outside of the vendor partner’s wheelhouse. Rather than losing the job, they brought Allied onboard to source the material and help manage the build in a joint effort.

Due to the size of the project, Y-Delta General Contractors were enlisted to oversee the construction, while Performance Fab, another partner, was contracted to erect the building. Allied’s time frame to deliver in December of 2021 was competitive and an expert team had been assembled to bring the project to life.

Simplify for Success

With a tight timeline from the start, global, pandemic shipping issues pushed an anticipated December delivery out to January, then February. Fortunately the shipping delays did not hold the project back. Because Allied’s vendor partner had not wanted to ship the containers directly to the jobsite, Allied coordinated an alternative delivery location, offloading from closed containers for flatbed delivery to the jobsite, which made offloading easier and faster for the contractor. In projects with so many players involved, clarity, simplicity, and consistency take on a new value and, as always, Allied was committed to delivering high-quality, well-fabricated, uniform materials, making it easier to get the job done. To quote Performance Fab contractor Travis Barnes who oversaw the job,

“I love the simplicity of the Allied Building. They actually went through a lot more expense to make everything uniform.”

A Bright Future

Allied both manufactures and sources its materials. While traditionally, the relationship between supplier and buyer would have been a one-dimensional transactional relationship, Allied’s emphasis on transparency and trust created new opportunities for collaboration and success.

Just like Eagle Villa Development chose Allied’s vendor partner for the job because of the relationship they had built over the course of nearly 2 years, they in turn chose Allied, proving that in this business, relationships are invaluable. With client satisfaction at the heart of everything we do, a job well done is essential. Fortunately, the client is planning a second warehouse of similar size in the near future, and plans on bringing Allied on board once again. When asked to describe the warehouse build, Travis is clear:

“The easiest building, 15 years of doing this, the easiest building I’ve ever unloaded. I would absolutely recommend Allied buildings and I’d be extremely happy if I could just put up Allied buildings everyday ’cause this was by far the easiest-to-go-together building that I’ve ever done.”
