Allied Steel Buildings, a leading global steel construction company, is excited to welcome Chad Hall as the Director of Operations for the company’s highly anticipated new fabrication facility in McGregor, Texas.
Mr. Hall joins Allied after an illustrious career in the steel distribution industry where he made award-winning contributions to safety and quality control over his nearly 20 years of experience in Victoria, TX.
Mr. Hall began his career in steel as a Director of Human Resources. His natural leadership and organizational skills facilitated his move into operations, where his accomplishments ranged from transitioning a steel distribution company to a globalized supply chain to reducing workers’ comp injuries and quality control error rates to zero.
The impact from his initiatives as a General Manager have been recognized both regionally and internationally, though Mr. Hall is quick to credit the importance of his teams and the value of the people he has worked with in making a lasting difference.
Mr. Hall’s unique talents and extensive experience across a variety of industries positions him strongly to lead this new chapter in Allied’s operations.
Reflecting on the move from Victoria to McGregor, Mr. Hall is enthusiastic, citing the succession of moves that have led him to where he is today. Originally from Virgie, a small Appalachian town in Eastern Kentucky, Mr. Hall was 1st chair in the All State Symphonic band during his senior year or high school, which earned him a full ride scholarship to Morehead State University, making him the first college graduate in his family. After teaching for 5 years, Mr. Hall pursued an MBA in Strategic Management from the University of Houston-Victoria where he also worked as an adjunct professor teaching Junior- and Senior-level management courses.
An aptitude for team building led him to what he views as some of the most formative years of his career: working in Human Resources. His experience in a variety of HR roles, first in healthcare, then as a Senior HR Analyst for the City of Victoria, and finally in steel building, fostered a deep respect for the importance of effective talent acquisition and the development of programs that drive organizational and individual performance.
Today, whether serving as the lead contact in contract negotiations, supply chain management, inventory procurement, or managing the day-to-day operations as a cross-functional manager, Mr. Hall has the management background and people-skills to effectively balance building and running successful teams. In his own words,
“I believe that all of our success is built on teamwork and relationships. Relationship development is very important to me as a leader.”
Unsurprisingly, it’s the people that drew Mr. Hall to Allied. Allied’s unique team of some of the brightest and most committed people in the industry share common values of adaptability, teamwork, and problem solving. Conducting different departments and teams simultaneously to produce the best product and customer experience is a skill that Mr. Hall credits to his career in both management and music.

But I always tell them the main competitive advantage that a company has is its people. Our team is what matters the most and it is the only thing that nobody else can duplicate.”
As a multiple “Top 20 Under 40 Business Leader” and 15-time Ironman finisher who recently completed the Ironman World Championship in Kona, Hawaii, Mr. Hall embraces opportunities and challenges alike, with undeterred optimism and a commitment to getting the job done. He looks forward to applying his extensive leadership experience and vast knowledge about the steel building industry to this significant moment in Allied’s history.
