Dover Speedway builds new, expanded Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series garage
DOVER, DELAWARE (May 3-5, 2019) – The Dover International Speedway has announced an ambitious expansion to their garages, following the upcoming NASCAR triple-header weekend, May 3-5.
The current garage area, in place since the first Monster Mile race in 1969, will get a significant 20% increase with the new Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series garage addition, which will be built by long-time supporting sponsor Allied Steel Buildings. Doors for the project will be provided by Raynor Garage Doors.
The building project will also include enhanced safety barriers cover the entire length of the inside walls on Turn 1 and 2. The garage will also shift, from its current location on Turn 1, to between Turn 1 & 2.
Project is slated for completion just before NASCAR returns for the Monster Mile races, October 4-6.
