“My name is Kevin. I live in Winter Garden, Florida. The reason for my backyard project was that I bought a boat from a friend that had a T-top on it, so it had about eleven and a half foot clearance. It wasn’t going to fit in my garage, in my house. Then, I started to collect some other things and I found the need that I really needed a bigger storage facility in my backyard, and we have a couple of acres of land so we had some room for it.”

Why Steel?

“I wound up going with steel because of a few different reasons. Number one, I thought steel was going to be as durable, at least if not more than a cement block building. I was concerned about the elements here in central Florida with the Hurricane seasons and the cost. The cost of the steel building is more efficient or affordable, compared to some of the other choices.”

Why Allied?

“My experience with Allied was pretty in depth. When I get into a project, I’m hands on. So I really wanted a team that was going to be responsive to my needs and my questions. I’ve never built a steel building before, so certainly a novice. I’m not a general contractor, I’m a financial advisor. So I’m eager to learn about the project. I want to know about the project and they were there for me. They were very responsive to my questions, to my phone calls, giving me design suggestions for what I really needed and thought I wasn’t sure if I needed and they would either tell me, yeah, you need that or no, it’s really not that important, it’s not necessary. So they were very helpful through the process. Would I recommend Allied to a friend? Absolutely. I think my experience was one that was very genuine. I think it was very convenient. The building process, whether it’s a home or a barn or any storage facility, it can be stressful and there’s a lot of nuances to go through. It’s a great learning experience and Allied was there for me through the whole process and very helpful. So, absolutely I would recommend them to family or friends.”
